This is why we encourage all schools, school boards, and high schools to incorporate a Sigma program so that students have the opportunity to learn and acquire this tool that will add value to their curriculums and make them have career advantages compared to their peers.
It’s natural to provide them with tools and more options in order for them to get credits and see the potential of what they can do.
It may be difficult to get Lean 6 Sigma training available for students as not many companies in the USA want to work with them and, instead, they focus on being assets and trainers for adults.
However, LSS includes knowledge, training, experience, and practice. Students may not be able to access it because of their age or availability, but we want to make sure they do, as all of the previous elements helps them be more prepared for their future.
The LSS training outline will depend on the level they will be taking with us. It provides experience for future professionals and individuals, regardless of which one it is.

What Will You Learn as a Student?
Any course’s level or belt process will be the same, regardless of the learning style. Students or institutions will need to decide if they want to go for the first belt or a higher-level one, depending on their availability, and keep in mind a yellow belt will be needed for a green one.
In this case, the yellow and green belts are the only ones we can offer students as higher ones require experience and working with companies. Also, the yellow and green belts offer all the essentials and basic knowledge they need to set to work with LSS in larger projects later on.
Because it covers the basics and core of the methodology, some companies opt to focus on the yellow belt and don’t necessarily approve of a green belt for future growth in their employees’ skills.
However, a student will need to focus more on how they want to utilize the methodology and if being part of small-scale projects while being yellow belts is enough for them. Otherwise, a green belt will always be a great addition.
To give you an idea, this is what each belt training includes:
- The yellow belt’s goal is to help them understand their responsibilities as well as how to manage individual tasks. If they are organized and cover all important topics related to Six Signa, it’s about improving their work habits.
- We will focus our efforts on team-based goals for the green belt. Can they work well together? Can they manage other members? This belt level includes the basics of Sigma and ensures practitioners know how to handle large-scale projects.
High School Students LSS-Certified?
If they have taken the training or course with us, they should be eligible to obtain the certification. However, suppose they didn’t receive their certificate but were trained by others. In that case, we offer the opportunity to take the exam to test their knowledge and to verify their eligibility to receive the certificate.
It is important that you remember that it is more difficult to get certification than regular training. This is why we have made it possible for every student to be certified after completing a course.
LSS certification will show the course that was taken and the belt that was just completed. They will be able to show future compliance and understanding as this is the paper that goes with high school students’ curriculums when applying for job positions.
